History of the OS Sneaker
The OS sneaker is the epitome of simple; it’s effortlessly cool and seriously comfortable. Released in the ‘90s, the OS is a retro sneaker, and an ideal skateboard shoe. It was designed with vintage influences, like the classic VW, and old scooters and bicycles. The OS, along with the Barney and the Mesa Clog, helped define the Simple brand.
There’s a reason it’s still available over 20 years later; it has an appeal that extends further than the nostalgic ‘90s college wearer. Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015, we are proud to relaunch this high-quality sneaker to our very loyal fan base.
A minimal, no-frills shoe, with easy to wear colourways and a clean finish. The OS comes with a suede upper and exposed stitching.
You’ll find the materials are breathable, with traditional lacing design and padding at the tongue and collar. The memory foam insole moulds to your foot for extra support, with a wide and thick collar making them easy to slip on and off.
The thick midsole provides superior cushioning, allowing for shock absorption. The rubber outsole is sewn onto the upper, providing a solid foundation.
Wherever you go, the classic brick rubber outsole gives you unparalleled traction. With its unique tread pattern, you’ll maintain stability while sporting an effortlessly-cool look.
How to Style the OS Sneaker
Pair your OS’s with crisp chinos, denim jeans, or shorts in the summer.
The OS in suede will give you a lower key look, while the new OS sneaker in black leather is a slight variation on the original, but provides a sleek and more formal look.
The sneaker comes in five suede colourways - olive, navy, black, taupe, and grey. Because the colour ways are neutral tones, they match well with other earthy shades. Choose tops and trousers in khaki, beige, browns, greys, and blacks.
Keep it simple, with the original antique OS sneaker.
